Job Position Description

 

Position Title: Manufacturing Technician

This position is located in Timberlake, NC at Carolina Pride Carwash Systems & Solutions, Inc. office headquarters.

The basic function of this position is to provide support to the Manufacturing Manager.

The individual in this position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.  This position currently has no direct reports.

The Assembly person has the following Major Responsibilities:

  1. To make certain he/she has all the components needed to build the assigned equipment.
  2. Make certain he/she has the correct information for the build.
  3. Make certain he/she has the information needed to wire the panel to suit a particular job.
  4. Be certain the frames, tanks and other components meet the standards set by Carolina Pride, i.e. good weld joints that are ground smooth to the frame, no damages.
  5. He/she is responsible for building all equipment in an efficient professional and skilled manner without defects and recalls.
  6. Test equipment for proper operation.

The Assembly person has the following Duties:

  1. Mount the components on the back plate and route the wires to them.
  2. Mount the cabinet on the frame. Mount the back plate in the cabinet and route the wires from the cabinet to the trough, after mounting the trough to the frame.
  3. Assemble and wire the various meters.
  4. Assemble and mount the components on the frame.
  5. Route the wires from the electrical components to the trough.
  6. Route the hoses and tubes.
  7. Mount and assemble pump and motor components and accessories.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  9. All other duties requested by Management

General Capability Requirements:

  1. Must be able to read an electrical schematic
  2. Be able to read a tape measure
  3. Must do exceptionally neat work
  4. Be able to wire the electrical panel according to U.L. Standards
  5. Know how to use power tools safely
  6. Be able to distinguish different colors of wires
  7. Be able to work independently on assigned projects
  8. Forklift experience helpful

Physical demands of this position require mobility for carrying totes and to include lifting up to 125 pounds.  Sight and hearing may be corrected to accomplish these tasks.  Mental demands include electrical and wiring knowledge, plus knowledge of U.L. Standards for wiring enclosures.

The Assembly person’s position will be evaluated based on job performance and other general criteria such as:

This position will be evaluated on the overall ability to provide support to the Manufacturing Manager and other peers.
